CARE AND MAINTENANCE of Your New Eyes

To maintain and extend the life of your Lashe Extensions Follow these easy care tips.

1. Do not wash eyes or shower for 24 hours after extension application. Do not swim or visit the spa for 48 hours after application to allow for complete bonding. This is Very Important.
2. Be gentle with your lashes. Do not excessively rub your eyes or pull on lashes. Avoid touching your extensions. The natural oils from your hands will break down the adhesive bond.
3. Only use specially formulated  Mascaras and  Cleansers for your eyelash extensions. Available in Beauty Image.  Do not use oil-based or waterproof mascaras which will cause premature shedding of extensions, what a waste that would be. Use mascara sparingly and only on the tips of the extensions; never apply from base to tip. Gently remove mascara with a lash extension formulated cleansers.
4. Apply the protective Coating Sealant daily to your new lashes to preserve the look and extend the life of your extensions. The sealant gives the lashes a wonderful shine and is simple to apply with its very useful mascara wand. It puts a protective sleeve over the joint of natural lash and extension, providing extra longevity.
5. We recommend a Re-Lashe appointment every 3 - 4 weeks to maintain the look of your initial application.
6. We need your feedback - especially if you think something may not be right. Please communicate with us and give us the opportunity to make sure you are 100% delighted :)  There really is so much to eyelash extensions - much more than most people realise.
7. ALLERGIC REACTIONS - If by chance a reaction occurrs: If we suspect that a reaction may occur for you then we will never proceed with the treatment.  However, please visit a pharmacy immediately for anti histamine eye drops or tablets, and call the salon immediately so we may offer you  a complimentary removal, we cannot be held responsible as it is not our fault, nor is it yours.

The Top 5 Reasons why your Lash Extensions May Fail:

1. Lashes getting wet too soon after application - crying, showers and even steam (from showers or cooking) can loosen the bond and make those babies slide right off your natural lashes.

2. Wearing mascara and eye liners in the first 24 hours can prevent the extensions fully bonding to natural lashes.

3.Pulling and playing at your lash extensions, rubbing your eyes excessively rough, using oil based products or waterproof mascara.

4.Swimming or beaching within the first 24 hours. Best to wait 48 hours for these 2.

5.Bad application / technique from unexperienced and poorly trained therapists (not at Beauty Image - Our Lash Stylists excell in Lash Application therefore eliminating premature shedding - It's up to you to adhere to Aftercare)

ALERT:Very rarely can lashes fail due to a bad batch of glue. But it does unfortunately happen. At Beauty Image we ask that if your lashes fall off earlier than you think is normal then please contact us. We are trained to know what has happened. If a faulty glue is blamed we ask for your understanding as this is outside both salon / client control - we always work as hard as possible to ensure you are more than satisfied with your extensions.

It is really only the first 24 hours that counts most. After that, carry on and enjoy life as normal - even more so when your confidence is at it's all time high!

What are Beauty Image Eyelash Extensions made of?
Beauty Image extensions are made of premium synthetic or Natural Mink materials. Synthetic materials are the most hygienic and keep their shape the best out of all extension types made..silk, hair. Synthetic materials are also more durable. The shine and shape will not be affected by water, heat, steam or sweat and will keep up with your busy schedule. No animals are harmed in the production of Mink Fur extensions- the animal is gently brushed.

Is the adhesive ok for my sensitive eyes?
Yes. Our Adhesives are medical-grade, designed and produced in Germany and suitable for Australian Standards. They are the same type of adhesives used for wound closure. Our adhesives have maximum bonding strength with high flexibility and shine. Our formulation contains pulverized rubber polymers to provide flexibility - an industry first. No porcupine needles here! Our adhesives are the safest and highest performing adhesives available. If you have had a reaction to lash glue before, with another brand, then you may be allergic to the main ingredient found in all lash glues. TEST PATCH FIRST and tell your Beauty Image therapist what you have experienced before.

How long do Eyelash Extensions last?
When applied properly, our semi-permanent extensions can last for as long as you maintain them. To maintain the look, Re-Lash appointments are necessary every  3 to 4 weeks to replace the lashes that have shed or outgrown naturally. Our adhesives are formulated to hold the lash in spite of water, heat, steam or sweat, and can keep up with your busy lifestyle. The protective Coating Sealant should be applied daily, to prolong the life of the extensions.

Will I be able to sense I am wearing Lash Extensions?
No! Because the extensions are placed away from the base of the natural eyelashes, you won't be able to feel the extensions. Lash extensions unique lightweight design ensures that your new extensions will feel like they are your natural eyelashes. Lash extensions are the only extensions available that have been completely designed to mimic a natural eyelash in shape and weight. Our adhesive is so flexible that the lashes move with your natural lashes, even in a wind gust!

Can I apply Eyelash Extensions to my own lashes?
No - absolutely not! Only a trained  professional will be able to safely apply Lash extensions. Eye injury or clumpy, unnatural looking lashes are likely to result from unprofessional or self application. Beauty Image Lash Technicians have gone through rigorous hands-on training in advanced application and design techniques, and can create a custom look tailored to your features. Our clients love the unique looks we create for them, and some exclaim we are an eyelift without the scalpel!

Can I swim, shower, spa or have a facial service while wearing extensions?
Yes! Beauty Image extensions were designed to keep up with your busy lifestyle. Our clients love how our extensions last and last, even when worn on holidays, skiing, swimming, snorkeling, and sunning all day! We recommend that you wait 24 to 48 hours before visiting the spa to allow adequate adhesive bonding. After that, resume your regular schedule.

Can I wear mascara with my Eyelash Extensions?
Yes! Although the extensions give the appearance of wearing mascara, some women still  choose to wear mascara. Beauty Image only recommends using Lash Extension friendly Mascaras, which have been specially formulated for Lashe extensions. Other mascaras will cause premature shedding as its ingredients will disintergrate the adhesive. If you choose to wear mascara, apply sparingly and only on tips; never apply from base to tip. We only recommend using Lash Extension friendly Eye Make-Up Removers, which were also specially formulated not to affect the bond of our Adhesive.

Do your Eyelash Extensions harm my natural lashes?
No! Since our Lashe extensions are applied on your existing natural lashes away from the base, never touching the skin, the growth cycle of the natural lash is not affected. Our Training ensures we know how to care for and protect your lashes when using our extensions. This is why training and experience is necessary. If you play and pull at your extensions this is what will damage natural lashes.

Who should NOT have Eyelash Extensions?
You must have some natural eyelashes for this procedure. Extensions should not be applied on individuals who have alopecia, or who suffer from trichotillomania (PULLING OUT ONE'S OWN HAIR OR LASHES) or thrichosis. If you have any eye condition where the eye does not look healthy or have an adhesive or latex allergy, you are probably not a candidate for eyelash extensions. Consult with your ophthalmologist or doctor for a recommendation.

How long do Eyelash Extension Applications take?
Depending on the skill level of the technician, a Beauty image Technician will take between 1.5 - 2 hours to apply a full set of extensions. I hour for a relash appointment.

How many eyelash extensions are in "full set"?
Here is where the real difference is! Depending on how many natural lashes you have, on average a Beauty Image full set application consists of as many extensions as can be placed on each eye. The smaller the eye, less are used, the bigger the eye, the more are used. The results are astonishing! Beauty Image also trains technicians to be real artisans when it comes to the application. Trained Beauty Image technicians take into account a client's face shape, eye shape, eye placement, and brow arch to create a unique look for every client. That result is a customized eye-enhancing look.

Is the Eyelash Extension Application comfortable?
Yes! It is such a comfortable process that most of our clients are so relaxed that they fall asleep. During the application, you are reclined on a massage bed with specialty leg and neck pillows, tucked in, with the eyes closed. It is VERY relaxing. IF you have any discomfort we ask for you to tell your therapist as we want you to be as comfortable as possible.

After all, you dont often get this time to yourself in your busy schedule so we want this to be a special time for you.

Is there a difference between Beauty Image Eyelash Extensions and other products available?
Oh Boy Yes! The three main differences are how natural Beauty Image extensions look, how long that they last and how they affect your natural eyelashes.

Some other products available are: eyelash strips, flares, clusters, lash tabs, mascaras, or the new eyelash growing liquids on the market.

False eyelash strips are the oldest and probably most well known product. They involve using a gummy adhesive that touches the skin, and are the least natural looking. Lash strips only last a day and can come off or dislodge during the course of wear...landing in your cocktail or sitting on your cheek! 

Flares, clusters, and lash tabs are often misrepresented in the market as eyelash extensions.

Only 100% oil free cosmetics, lotions, and other items should be used on the eye area after application. The eyelash extension procedure is very relaxing and comfortable.
